Parking Off Campus: Part 1

Raise your hand if you do not like paying huge amounts of money to park at UCCS! How fun is it to spend several hundred dollars a year for the "right" to fight thousands of other students for parking spaces every day? Paying hundreds of dollars for a pass is all fine and good if you can get a guaranteed spot. However, UCCS does not even guarantee THAT! They charge hundreds of dollars a year to every student and then they do not have adequate parking to accommodate them all. In response to campus wide dilemma, I have taken it upon myself to inform students of the parking options that they have. Ya'll do not have to be held hostage by UCCS's parking cartel any longer! This blog will be the first part of a four part series outlining the different parking options that UCCS students currently have.

PART 1: 4-Diamonds Parking Area
This is the only "off-campus" parking location approved by UCCS. This is probably the most popular and well known "off-campus" parking area. However, 4-Diamonds is actually on UCCS property. The reason I mention it in this group of parking sites is that it is a remote parking area that is free, Therefore, even though 4-Diamonds is officially a remote location, UCCS approves of it and actually encourages people who do not want to pay for parking to utilize it. Although 4-Diamonds is nearly a mile from the main campus, UCCS runs a frequent shuttle bus down to the parking lot and back up to campus. This allows students to park, wait, hitch a ride, and get to class on time. Check out this link for directions.
